24th Annual LACiNg Up for Cancer Walk Raises
$144,510.25 for Local Cancer Patients
MORRISVILLE, VT (July 7, 2026) – The Lamoille Area Cancer Network (LACN) is proud to announce that the 24th Annual LACiNg Up for Cancer Walk, held on June 20, 2026, has raised $144,510.25 to support local individuals and families impacted by cancer – and donations continue to arrive each day.
Despite less-than-ideal weather on walk day, the event saw a strong turnout as community members came together to support LACN’s mission of providing financial assistance to local cancer patients throughout Lamoille County and the surrounding communities as they undergo cancer treatment while in a facility.
“We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support from our community,” said Erica Scott, President of the Lamoille Area Cancer Network. “Year after year, our participants, volunteers, sponsors, donors, and supporters continue to step up for neighbors facing cancer. Even with the rainy weather, the generosity and dedication shown this year have been truly inspiring.”
While LACN had set an ambitious fundraising goal of $150,000, the organization is celebrating the tremendous success of this year’s event and remains thankful for every dollar raised. The funds generated will help provide critical financial assistance to local cancer patients going through treatment in a facility, easing some of the burdens they face during treatment.
As additional donations continue to be received and processed, updated fundraising totals will be shared in the coming weeks.
LACN will also be announcing details soon about the 25th Annual LACiNg Up for Cancer Walk, along with information about its annual Coin Drop fundraiser happening later this year.
The Lamoille Area Cancer Network extends its heartfelt appreciation to everyone who participated, donated, volunteered, sponsored, or helped make this year’s walk a success. The compassion and generosity of the community continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of local families facing cancer.
